About UsBurnet Bulletin was established in 1873 and is the oldest business in Burnet and the oldest newspaper in Burnet and Llano counties. The paper is widely respected for its coverage of high school sports and local news and has received numerous awards for community journalism over the years. But perhaps more significant than the awards it has won is the special place it occupies in the life of the community and in the hearts of its readers. It's headquartered in a century-old building on the west side of the Burnet Courthouse square and has more paid circulation in northern Burnet County than any other newspaper, including the Austin metro daily. It is centered in Burnet, the county seat, but extends through the countryside and into nearby communities including Bertram, Buchanan Dam and smaller settlements like Hoover Valley and Briggs. It's published every Wednesday, but you can always find the latest local news and sports online 24/7. Mail: 220 South Main St. Web: Phone: News.........................................(512)756-6136 |
