The bid date for the new Burnet City Hall has been extended until Dec. 14.

Republican Kyle Biedermann has tossed his hat into the race for the Texas House of Representatives to represent District 19. He declared his candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on March 5, 2024.

The spirit of Christmas is in the air in Bertram, Texas. There is a lot going on to celebrate the season, and the festive atmosphere is contagious.

We just celebrated Veterans Day and we are so thankful for being able to live in a country where we are not being held under the terror of a dictator. Our son is a Marine and we have always been very proud of him. He was injured in the service and has suffered every day since, but he keeps pressing forward and does the best he can. My family has personally suffered loss from war and has a deep appreciation for the sacrifice these men and women have made to protect our country.

We hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Keep your turkey baster handy, it’s great for watering small indoor plants.

Actor Barry Corbin will be at the Uptown Theatre in Marble Falls Nov. 9. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show, “An Evening with Barry Corbin,” starts at 7 p.m. Corbin has appeared in hundreds of movies and TV shows over the past 40 years.
