Burnet tax rate holds

The Burnet City Council has adopted a Fiscal Year 2013 budget that contains a surplus of revenues over expenses of $1.2 million.

The budget, which the council adopted at its Sept. 25 meeting, contains projected revenues of $26,413,434 and expenses projected at $25,212,751.

The council voted to keep the property tax rate the same as last year, $.6278 for $100 property valuation.
