Vegas by the River tickets on sale

October 25, 2012, 11:00 pm by Glynis Crawford Smith

Tickets are on sale now for the annual Vegas by the River benefit for the Andy Roddick Tennis Center.

"After the success of last year’s event on Lake Buchanan we needed a larger venue, and guests can enjoy gaming, food and music at Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls this year,” said Dave Holder, ARF publicity director. "The steering committee has been working for months already and sponsors have stepped up to make it a night to remember.”

Special guests will join john Arthur martinez to provide entertainment all evening while guests enjoy food from local venues such as Tamale King, R Bar & Grill, Subway and more. An open bar with vodka, wine and beer stations provided by corporate sponsors also is included in the ticket price.

Casino action will include poker, craps, blackjack and roulette and each ticket holder will have a chance to win a paid trip to Las Vegas to roll dice for a $1 million prize.

Sports lovers have been kept in mind at the silent auction. Among sports memorabilia are the hat that Andy Roddick wore when he won the 2003 U.S. Open, a Chicago Bulls jersey autographed by Michael Jordan, and a tennis racket signed and used by Rafael Nadal and Pete Sampras.
