Junior High student struck by truckOctober 26, 2012, 11:37 pm by Frank L. Graham
A Llano Junior High student suffered two broken legs after he was struck by a tractor trailer crossing TX 71 to school Friday morning. Caleb Harned was taken to the hospital after the truck and trailer left the Jacket Stop, a convenience store located next to the Junior High, and struck him as it was turning onto the highway. The incident was just one of two truck incidents in Llano County Friday. Another tractor trailer, carrying a load of diesel fuel, jackknifed on TX 29, spilling diesel fuel all over the roadway. Volunteer firefighters from Llano helped clean up the spill but traffic was closed in one lane for several hours. Read more about these incidents in the Llano County Journal next Wednesday. |
