There will be a meeting held tonight, Tuesday Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the city council chambers at the Commemorative Air Force Museum to discuss the newly proposed ’field use fee’ for all youth organizations that use city parks/fields in Burnet. The new fee will be $10 per hour for the first year and going up each year to reach a target rate of $15 an hour for every practice or game played on the fields.

Parents and other community members are encouraged to come to the meeting to voice their opinions and concerns. The new fee would cost Burnet Little League over $15,000 in year one, and almost $22,000 by year five. This would be a cost increase of almost 50 percent.
