John E. Lacy May 28, 1928 - Dec. 22, 2012
John (Jack) Edward Lacy, 83 of Horseshoe Bay passed away Saturday, Dec. 22. He was born May 28, 1929 to Elizabeth (Welsh) Lacy and Raymond Lacy in Brooklyn, N.Y. Lacy worked as a Field Service Representative for Gulfstream Aerospace for 42 years. He has been a resident of Sandy Harbor and Horseshoe Bay since 1990, coming from Temple, Texas. He was a former member of the North Bellmore Volunteer Fire Department and was also a member of the Sandy Harbor Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by daughter Jean Valadez of Casselberry, Fla.; sons John Lacy and David Dehass of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Jim Lacy and wife Mary Abruzzo of Coram, N.Y. and Jay Lacy and wife Julia Lacy of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sister June Gearity and husband Gene of Dade City, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; step- daughters Gail Lynn and husband Richard of Austin, Jackie Tyma and husband Rod of Colorado, and Teresa Rounds of Kentucky; and step-son Richard Rounds and wife Teri of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Joan Wernex; second wife Annie Rounds; brothers Ray, Jim and Joe Lacy; and loving friend Geneva Hahn of Oatmeal.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Waldrope Hatfield Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsland with Reverend L C Johnston officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friends of the Marble Falls Library, 101 Main Street, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
