Wreck on TX 29 kills one

The driver of a vehicle was killed on TX 29 Wednesday morning in a collision near the Burnet and Williamson County line.
Texas DPS and Burnet County Sheriff Deputies responded to a wreck at 7:09 a.m. near the Burnet and Williamson County line. Deirdre Furr, 54, a school teacher from Liberty Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Texas DPS Trooper Robbie Barrera.
According to DPS, the accident occurred when Furr, driving a 2004 Ford Taurus, stopped in the westbound lane of TX 29 to make a left turn. The driver of a 2005 Chevy Trail Blazer, identified as Stephanie Morrow, a 22-year-old resident of Cedar Park who is also a teacher, failed to control her speed and rear-ended Furr’s vehicle, DPS said.
The posted speed limit was 65 miles per hour.
Morrow was transported to Seton Round Rock and is stable, with only minor head and chest injuries. The scene was investigated by DPS Trooper Morgan Tonn out of Johnson City.

SO MANY ACCIDENTS LIKE THIS COULD BE PREVENTED IF HIGHWAY 29 HAD TURNING LANES!!! HOW MANY MORE DEATHS IS IT GOING TO TAKE BEFORE WE ARE SAFE?? God, bless those affected by this horrific accident. In Jesus' name, Amen.

PLEASE PUT A TURNING LANE ON HWY 29 FROM LIBERTY HILL ALL THE WAY TO BURNET! WE (MY HUSBAND, MY 4 CHILDREN, AND I) DRIVE THAT HWY EVERYDAY, AND ITS SAD TO SEE SO MANY LIVES LOST, AND MOST OF THESE DEATHS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED, HAD THERE BEEN A TURNING LANE! ONE MAIN REASON IS IT RUNS EAST AND WEST, HARD TO SEE WHEN THE SUN RISES AND HARD WHEN THE SUN SETS, THE HOURS MOST PEOPLE COMUTE! PRAYERS TO THE FAMILY, AND PLEASE BE SAFE, GOD BLESS!

DEIRDRE FURR WAS WEARING HER SEAT BELT DPS OFFICER AND THE NEWSPAPERS NEED TO GET THERE INFO RIGHT BEFORE THEY JUST GO PRINTING STUFF IN THE PAPERS THAT ARE NOT TRUE. HOW MANY PEOPLE DO HAVE TO DIE BEFORE THEY PUT A CENTER LANE ON HWY 29

I live off of Hwy 29 and it is very dangerous to turn to my house. Many times I go straight and then turn back cause cars just don't slow down. We do need a center lane.

A turn lane, well, that would cost money..... How inconvenient... How about we get a private company from another country to put in a third lane but make it a toll lane... Then i'm sure ricky would be all over it... Till then, good luck making a left or right on hwy. 29

Hwy 195 from Killeen was a highway of death. Soldiers were NOT allowed to travel it. Now it is a divided hwy that is properly built. There is a lot of traffic on Hwy 29 with no where to go if somebody makes a mistake. No shoulders, no center lane. I also have gone on down to turn around instead of turning left.
