Linda Kay Worley Nov. 12, 1944 ~ Jan. 12, 2013

Linda Kay Worley, 68, of Granite Shoals passed away on Jan. 12. She was born to Harry Clyde and Lillian Ruth (Jackson) Wilkes on Nov. 12, 1944 in Burnet. She was married to William Henry Worley on July 13, 1963.
Worley enjoyed food, traveling, reading and most importantly, socializing. She knew no stranger. She was a nurse early on in her career and cleaned houses. She also worked with her husband in the Worley Tree and Yard business. In her later years, she took care of many elderly folks. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls, Al-Anon, PTA, and the Girl Scouts.
Worley is survived by mother Lillian (Jackson) Wilkes of Kingsland; son Lt. Bill Worley and wife Janet of Kingsland; daughter Chatella Worley and friend Marco Inostroza of Granite Shoals; grandchildren Tres, Travis, David, and Amber; and great-grandchildren Troy, Mila, Brayden, and Cayden.
She is preceded in death by father Harry Wilkes; husband William Worley, Sr.; sisters Shirley Faye, and Juliet "Judy” Whittington; and brother Henry "Rusty” Lee Wilkes.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsland.
Rev. Max Copeland of Marble Falls officiated. Inurnment followed at a later date. An online guest register may be signed at www.Putnam-Cares.com. Cremation arrangements made by Putnam Funeral Home and Crematory in Kingsland.
