New Care-A-Van clinic can do moreFebruary 14, 2013, 9:00 pm by Adam Troxtell
The Seton Kid’s Care-A-Van will keep rolling with a new mobile clinic that was unveiled at a ceremony Thursday at which Seton Highland Lakes Hospital Chief Operating Officer Arie Dejong described the children’s medical treatment initiative as one of the most important aspects of the hospital’s mission in Burnet County. "The Care-A-Van is one of the most shining examples of our mission in Burnet County,” Dejong told a crowd gathered outside the hospital to see the unveiling of the new mobile clinic. "We are extremely proud of it.” After a decade of traveling at least 7,000 miles a year providing health care for more than 16,000 children and making appearances at local community events, the old Seton Care-A-Van had begun experiencing costly mechanical issues and needed to be replaced.
