Lone dissenter in BCISD needs study
Keith McBurnett

The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District’s board of trustees Monday approved a contract with an Austin consulting and architectural firm to complete a needs assessment study on its facilities, but not before one board member questioned the wisdom of spending almost $37,000 on it.

Following a 30-minute discussion the board members voted 6-1 to approve the contract with Pfluger and Associates.

Trustee Alan Snider, who began the discussion of the contract by saying, "I’m uncomfortable with this thing,” was the lone dissenting vote.

Of course he is the lone dissenting vote. It doesnt serve Snider well, so why should he vote to help improve the lives of others or at least explore the opportunity? Once a snake... Donald Duck may be a better write-in candidate come election time.
