Lone dissenter in BCISD needs studyMarch 19, 2013, 9:45 pm by James Walker
The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District’s board of trustees Monday approved a contract with an Austin consulting and architectural firm to complete a needs assessment study on its facilities, but not before one board member questioned the wisdom of spending almost $37,000 on it. Following a 30-minute discussion the board members voted 6-1 to approve the contract with Pfluger and Associates. Trustee Alan Snider, who began the discussion of the contract by saying, "I’m uncomfortable with this thing,” was the lone dissenting vote.
