Left-over bridge pieces make commemorative art

Scrap metal from the old 281 bridge over Lake Marble Falls will be the center of a new sculpture in downtown Marble Falls.
Father Jairo Lopez of St. John's Catholic Church in Marble Falls was selected by a committee of the Community Arts Program from a list of applicants based on the merits of his previous projects.
"To me, it’s beautiful. He created a piece that represents
our community and the lake area,” said Janey Rives, a member of the community
arts program who got a sneak peak of the project.
