Burnet will carry an impressive 26-2 record into the state 7-on-7 football championships in Round Rock this week. The event has moved from College Station to Round Rock’s Southwest Williamson County Regional Park.
The tournament starts with pool play at 1 p.m. on Thursday for the Bulldogs, who are competing in the Division II bracket.
Four teams are in each pool and the top two out of each pool advance to the championship bracket and the bottom two advance to the consolation bracket.
The tournament runs three days with the Division II winding up on Friday. Division I, the 5A and 4A teams, concludes on Saturday.
