Annie Evelyn Willis Turner

Annie Evelyn Willis Turner passed on to her eternal rest Aug. 30. She was born in Wrightsville, Ga. on Dec. 4, 1913 to Eldrige S. Price and Annie Morgan (Outlaw) Price.
Evelyn came to Texas at the age of 10, traveled extensively throughout the United States, settling in Dallas where she attended Hockaday Girlís School and then Carolís College, which is now San Marcos Baptist Academy.
Evelyn married Lee Willis in 1933 and had five children. After his death, she married Kenneth Turner in 1986. Following his death, she moved to Austin and eventually Burnet. She called Country Oaks home for almost six years.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Lee A. Willis. She is survived by daughters Sharon Witcher Coleman and her husband, Lee, Jane Bush and her husband, Joe; sons, Jerry and Jack Willis, special daughter-in-law, Pauline Willis and special niece, Faye Elliott. She was dearly loved by five grandsons: Marty Bollier, Mark, Shane and Monte Witcher and Jack Alford; four granddaughters, Arlene and Kaye Willis, Pam Bollier and April Miller, 13 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Evelyn was the oldest of seven children. She is survived by two brothers, Al Price of Oklahoma, and Claude McGahee of Georgia. She is also survived by one sister, Jeamsie Price of New Mexico.
Pallbearers are grandsons Marty Bollier, Mark, Shane and Monte Witcher, Jack Alford and Jon Hartman.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 3 at Edgar Funeral Home, Interment is at 2:30 p.m. in Lohn. Friends can express their condolences at edgarfh.com.
