School district to hold hearing

The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Monday in school trustees board room at 208 East Brier.

The purpose of this public hearing, which will precede the school board regular monthly meeting, will be to release and discuss the 2011-2012 Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) report for the District and each campus.

The report outlines student performance on the current AEIS indicators, as well as descriptive information for the district and the state on students, staff, finances, and programs.

As a part of the hearing process, time will be provided for comments and input from community members as well as responses to any questions from those in attendance.
