February 01, 2013, 12:00 am by Alexandria Randolph

One of the three suspected thieves that have hit Walmart stores across the state has been identified, Marble Falls Police reported.

Roy Gene Ramsey of San Antonio has been identified by authorities in Wisconsin as a suspect in a string of thefts at Walmart, Kmart and Dollar Store locations. He is one of three suspects in a series of thefts in several cities in Texas, including the Walmart on US 281 in Marble Falls and the Walmart Supercenter in Lampasas.

"He’s done this everywhere from Texas to Wisconsin,” said Marble Falls Police Sgt. Rick Carter. "Nobody knows where he is. He stays mobile all the time.”

Police said that the total value of merchandise Ramsey has allegedly stolen is about $200,000, but police do not know where he may be keeping or selling the reportedly stolen goods.

If you have any information involving the thefts or suspects, call Hill Country Area Crime Stoppers at 1.866.756.TIPS (8477) and cite case number MFPD 1291360, or visit the crime stoppers website to submit an online tip at www.hcacrimestoppers.com.
