Get ready for 2nd triathlon

Marble Falls officials are looking for a spike in revenues this weekend when the HITS Triathlon returns for a second visit.
"I believe we have estimated an impact in the hundreds of thousands of dollars,” Bill Rives, executive director of the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce, said Monday. "There will be impact on the hotels. The competitors bring their wives, husbands and kids, and they go shopping, eat at restaurants and go to movies.”
Then there is the matter of traffic. But city officials have a plan for that too.
"Last year’s plan looked great on paper, but it stunk,” Rives said. "Hopefully the reroute will be better this year.”
This year the triathlon route will not go through the busiest intersections in Marble Falls, officials said.
