‘Crazy Ants’ invade Spicewood, drive out fire ants

A new invasive species of ant is spreading over parts of the Southeastern U.S., including Spicewood in Central Texas, and is driving out the pesky fire ant.
Researchers say with the new ant comes bigger concerns than itchy bug bites.
The Tawny Crazy Ant is an aggressive species of ant from South Central America with long legs that make their movements look sporadic, or crazy.
Although crazy ants do not deliver a sting like fire ants do, they also don’t have the same sense of boundaries.
