Lifeguard revives boy at Burnet pool

A five-year-old Burnet boy was believed to be in good condition after being revived by a Galloway-Hammond recreation center lifeguard who pulled him from one of the facility’s swimming pools Monday after he had apparently been under water for approximately two minutes.
Peyton Saugstad apparently went unnoticed under water as several children played in the smaller of two indoor pools at Galloway-Hammond.
An 18-year-old lifeguard, one of two lifeguards on duty, noticed Sausday and jumped from his lifeguard stand into the pool, pulled him from the water and administered CPR.
Burnet City Manager David Vaughn said he watched a tape of the incident and said the two lifeguards were not un-attentive.
