Authorities not to name Mlakes burglary suspects
January 24, 2014, 2:30 pm by
Burnet County Sheriff’s Office authorities said they will not yet name the two suspects identified in a series of Meadowlakes car burglaries that took place just before Christmas.
Burnet County Special Operations Capt. Joe Canady said "the suspects are cooperating, and names have not been released.”
The two suspects were described as young male Meadowlakes residents, but are not juveniles.
Canady said that authorities are in communication with the suspects about the burglaries, and no charges have been filed against the men.
"We’re working to get some of the property back,” he said. "We’re trying to find a resolution.”
Canady said the case may see court time, but at this point, "it depends on what further action will be taken.”

I agree---not often that you allow "suspects" to return stolen merchandise and stay anonymous. Seems like returning it is an admission of guilt, right? Wonder whose kids they are?

Hmmm,,, Why won't they name these people? Why haven't they been arrested? If that was my stuff I'd be pressing charges.... Sounds like selective enforcement of the law....

This could get very ugly.

13 counts of auto burglary and a stolen firearm (a state jail felony by the way) plus throwing wallets and credit cards in the dumpster? and still no arrest? I think had these kids been Marble Falls riff raff that they would have been arrested right away.

I know both of these kids and the family names they are hiding behind. Amazing how unjust this is for the rest of our society. I don't think this is how it works folks!!!

That is utterly ridiculous! Gee, wonder who their parents are??!! You teach them nothing and you show the world your character when you show such bias. I would definitely reconsider that, by the look of the number of comments, that will piss a lot of citizens off!

So, who's fine young sons are they, that they are immune from public knowledge. Other NON-JUVENILE suspects are named in public newspapers, but sounds like certain area leaders are able to keep their little darling's names out of the news. How many other times have they done the same thing???

Who are the little darlings? Should they be spared public scrutiny? I think no! I’m sure they’re sorry…for being caught!
