LakeFest hits town this weekend

The 2012 LakeFest will hit town this weekend with more than 100 drag boats and an expected 10,000 visitors.

The festivities begin Friday and run through Sunday.

This year mark’s the 21st time the drag boats entertain patrons along the shores of Lake Marble Falls.

Tickets are $20 each for Saturday and Sunday. Friday’s festivities are just $5. A three-day pass is $40 and can be purchased through the chamber.

Kids ages six through 12 are $5 and kids under six get in free.

Top eliminator club tickets are $160 and include plenty of perks. Hors d’oeuvres are served Friday and breakfast, lunch and hors d’oeuvres on Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the rules are no outside alcohol, pets, skateboards or umbrella are allowed. Only small coolers (9 quarts or smaller) are allowed.
