Cross country at Run for your Oats

During the Labor Day weekend the BMS cross country team kicked-off their season at the Run for your Oats race in Bertram.
"These runners only had two official practices before this meet but they did a great job,” said coach Natalie Shannon.
Seventh-grade girls participants for Burnet included Fatima Rodriguez who finished first in the 12U division with a 28:15.
She was followed by Makenzie Gatlin in second, 28:46; Emma Lewis, third, 28:47; and Sydni Oliver, 43:48.
Zoe Stubblefield ran for the eighth-grade girls and posted a 27:13.
Bodie Muccigrossi turned in a 38:10 for the seventh-grade boys.
Eighth-grade boys who competed included Tanner Abbott, 24:10; Blayne Champlin, 24:11; Cole Younger, 25:47; Jacob Foshee, 38:10; and Hunter Woodrum, 39:43.
