Beatrice Fuentes July 21, 1952 ~ Sept. 20, 2012
Beatrice (Bea) Fuentes, 60 was called by our Lord on Sept. 20. She was born in San Antonio, Texas July 21, 1952, to Albert and Janie Escamilla, who have preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brother Hector Escamilla.
Beatrice Fuentes is survived by her brother Albert Escamilla Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Escamilla, daughter Marla, sons Edwin and Anthony, niece Griselda Huereca and husband Ricardo and sons Ricky Marco and Carlos. She is also survived by many other family members and dear friends and Roger Alonso who was constantly by her side in time of need. She was a pillar of strength to her family. She had a life long bout with heart problems since the age of 12. Surviving two open heart surgeries in her lifetime was a blessing in itself. She was tough as nails but had a tender heart. She was dealt a pretty tough hand to play in life but she would always find a way to play a winning hand. She was a hard working person, always trying to excel. She constantly persevered. When she set her mind to doing something she would do it.
She was a long time employee of the Burnet school district where she enjoyed working with all her co workers and the students of the schools. We will always remember Bea, as many of her friends called her. She was a person with a good and big heart and always had a smile on her face.
Funeral Services were held Monday, Sept. 24, at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. According to her wishes, Beatrice will be cremated and laid to rest in the family cemetery in San Antonio. Condolences may be offered to www.clementswilcoxburnet.com.
Arrangements made by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home Burnet.
