Lynda Parrish Oct. 29, 1943 ~ Oct. 2, 2012
Lynda Parrish, 68, of Tow, passed away, Oct. 2. She was born to Arter Columbus and Verda (Speake) Wheeler on Oct. 29, 1943 in Lubbock, Texas.
Parrish was married to Willard "Red” Parrish on July 2, 1960. She was a medical assistant for
many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tow, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 1118 of Kingsland member. In her spare time she loved to sew and craft.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Willard "Red” Parrish of Tow; son Richard Eugene Parrish of Mexia, Texas; daughters Darla Dempsey of Groesbeck, Texas, and Brandi Galbraith of Lubbock, Texas; five grandsons, four step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers Pat Wheeler of Houston,
Lee Wheeler of Oklahoma, and Clifford Wheeler of Livingston, Texas; sisters, Janice Sartan of Lubbock, Sheila Davis of Crockett, and Dana Wheeler of Galena Park, Texas.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Celebration of life memorial services were held at the First Baptist Church 16521 RR 2241, Tow, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. Rev. Jerald Moore and the Order of Eastern Star officiated. An online guest register may be signed at www.PutnamCares.com.
Cremation arrangements made by Putnam Funeral Home and Crematory 145 Texas Avenue, Kingsland.
