Gary Neil Meguire, Sr., 78, of Llano, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Houston. He was born Aug. 7, 1934 to Elsie Lavada (Herridge) Meguire and William B. Meguire. Meguire was born and raised in Llano, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Lee and Tootie Meguire. Meguire is survived by sons Gary Neil Meguire, Jr. of Virginia, Michael Ray Meguire of Texas and Wayne Patrick Meguire of Mississippi; daughter Trina West Hoot of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren Jeremy, Timothy, Travis, Gary III and Jonathan; numerous great-grandchildren; and his former wife Betty West of Houston.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Llano City Cemetery with Brother David Hankins officiating, and burial service followed at the Llano City Cemetery.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Timothy Meguire, Jeremy Meguire, Robert Worley, Jack Hoot and Harold Goehmann.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Llano Church of Christ, 402 West Main Street,
Llano.
