Patricia "Patti” Ann Halfacre, 78, of Buchanan Dam, died on Oct. 12. She was born to Edwin Carson and Hattie (Roseberry) Burney on April 10, 1934 in Nevada City, Calif.
She was a gaming industry employee for many years in Reno, Nev., where she met and married
Dewey Halfacre on April 16, 1988. Halfacre retired to Buchanan Dam in 1995 where she began to pursue her life-long interest in art and she was a member of Buchanan Arts and Crafts since 2005.
She is survived by a daughter Vivienne Lee Robbins of Fancy Gap, Va.; grandchildren Robert W. Robbins III, Karie Robbins Carico, Kelly Robbins Swank, Kira Robbins Wood, Nicholas Robbins, and Kimberly Robbins Smith; four great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth Waldis of Sparks, Nev.; and nephew Ken Jordan of Austin.
Halfacre was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dewey Halfacre, son Michael Evan Lee, and nine brothers and sisters.
A Rosary and Mass will be celebrated at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. Burial will take place with her late husband at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to gather at the cemetery for the 2 p.m. for services.
