Wanda B. Hall March 9, 1922 ~ Sept. 28, 2012

Wanda B. Hall, 90, of Marble Falls, passed away Sept. 28. She was born March 9, 1922 in Mercury, Texas. Hall lived a blessed, full and active life and was an inspiration to many through her faith, her world journeys and unrelenting passion through sports. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed studying, teaching and sharing her faith through Sunday school and various other community organizations. For over 40 years, she taught and served world missions, through ‘World Bible School’ correspondence courses.
She was an avid sports enthusiast through her role as participant and sometimes as spectator. She enjoyed backpacking, hiking, golf, tennis and one of her greatest joys was running. She participated in many races to include the annual Capitol 10k in Austin for 25 years in which she received multiple gold medals, and in the National Senior Olympic Games. At the age of 87 years she placed second in the 2009 Francisco Bay Area-Summer National Senior Games. Hall was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold B. Hall. She is survived by sons Dr. Jon Roger Hall and wife Kim of Las Cruces, N.M., and Robert W. Hall and wife Linda of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
Graveside services will be held at Cox Cemetery in Mercury. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the University Church of Christ Las Cruces, N.M., the charity of choice, or the National Parkinson Disease Association.
