Evelyn Sarah Gage, 93, of Llano, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10. She was born April 4, 1919 to Minnie Lea (Moore) Arnold and Frank Arnold in Strawberry Plains, Tenn. She was married to Samuel Gage. She had been a resident of Llano since 1974 coming from North Hollywood, Calif. Gage was a past member of the Tow Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Tow quilting club and Llano County Home Demonstration Club. She enjoyed her family and friends.
Gage is survived by her daughter Martha Pantano and husband Frank of Tow; sons Robert Gage of California, and Donald Gage of California; brother George Arnold of Santa Monica, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Samuel Gage, one brother, one sister and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24 at 11 p.m. at the Waldrope Hatfield Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Llano with Reverend Jerald Moore officiating, burial to follow at the Tow Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Morgan, Rick Morgan, Jack Henderson, Nathan Garrett, Lance Garrett and Robert Green.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Okla. 73123-1718.
