Edgar Seidensticker July 3, 1944 ~ Dec. 2, 2012

Edgar "Paul” Seidensticker, 68, of Round Mountain passed away on Dec. 2.
He was born on July 3, 1944 in Burnet. He graduated valedictorian from Burnet High School in 1961. He went on to attend Texas Tech University and Tarleton University before settling at Texas A&M University where he graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Science. Seidensticker married the love of his life, Patricia Gatliff, on Aug. 31, 1963. After graduation he accepted a position as Fisheries Biologist with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.
He was well respected in his 32 year long career and made many lifelong friends.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, playing golf, riding through the pasture, and relaxing at the family lake house.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Elizabeth Seidensticker.
Seidensticker is survived by his wife Patricia; son Christopher and wife Judy Seidensticker of Burnet; daughter Cheryl and husband David Williams of Georgetown; mother-in-law Hazel Gatliff of Burnet; granddaughters Jessie Seidensticker, Emma Seidensticker, and Rachel Williams; grandson Reece Williams; sisters Anne Stewart and Frances Dodds; and brother Frank Seidensticker.
A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be 2-4 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 9 at the Walnut Methodist Church at 1153 Ranch Road 3347, Round Mountain, Texas 78663. Memorial donation information will be available at the service.
