Shirley Marguerite Cranfill, 90, of Highland Haven, died Dec. 13, surrounded by her family. She was born May 4, 1922 in Laurel, Iowa.
She married Milton Daniel Cranfill on Dec. 10, 1955. They moved to Marble Falls in 1978. He left for heaven July 10, 1994 after a brief illness.
She was an artist and was a member of Highland Arts Guild, where her art was displayed for many years. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren, other family members, church and her bridge group. She and her husband loved traveling with friends in the RV group.
Cranfill was a breast cancer survivor and was a dedicated supporter of ASC and Reach to Recovery Volunteers.
She is survived by daughters Linda Sandel and husband Larry of McKinney, Texas, B.J. Brown and husband Lonnie of Highland Haven, Celia Cranfill of Odessa, and Judy Cranfill of Ruidoso, NM; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Bonnie Ligouri of Nevada, and Evalea Tull and husband Doyle of Arkansas; brother Manley Shank of Iowa; many nieces and nephews; her faithful niece and nurse Francine Harmon; and her favorite pet, Kato.
Cranfill was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and two brothers.
Funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at Marble Falls Church of Christ with Greg Neill officiating. Interment followed at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
She will be missed by her church sisters and brothers, her bridge club and her art guild friends.
