Wanda M. Nolen March 5, 1930 ~ Jan. 7, 2013
Maxine Nolen, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, was called to Glory on Monday, Jan. 7.
Nolen was born March 5, 1930 in Lampasas. She graduated from Brownwood High School and met her husband of over 50 years, Cecil F. Nolen, after relocating to Marble Falls. She raised her children, and then worked at the Marble Falls-Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce. During which time she was recognized as Citizen of the Year, and was instrumental in starting the Marble Falls Walkway of Lights. Additionally, she was active in her children’s school functions and activities. She was loved by everyone she met and often acted as "second mom” to many of her children’s friends. She loved unconditionally and was a bright light in all of our worlds. We take comfort that she is now at peace with Christ and with loved ones.
She is survived by husband, Cecil F. Nolen; sister Ruby Ross and husband Herb; brother Kenneth Williams and wife Pat; son Jeff Nolen and wife Annette; son Mike Nolen; daughter Kay Swift and husband Van; grandchildren Jake Nolen, Julie Fore and husband Brian, Lauren Swift, and Nash Swift; nephews Bill Nolen and wife Susan, Bob Nolen, Jay Frasier and wife Nancy, Dee Nolen and wife Brigitte, and Morris Williams and wife Tammy; nieces Becky Branon and husband Bubba, and Catherine Bell and husband Rickey; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Nolen is preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Arthur Williams; sisters Carolyn Joy Williams, and Dorothy Keetch; brothers Art Williams, Jr., and Earl Bailey Williams; and grandson Jett Phillip Swift.
The family wishes to sincerely thank all her caregivers for their loving care of Nolen and the family support they have given.
Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 10 from 5-7 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 12 at 3p.m. at the Marble Falls First Baptist Church in Marble Falls.
Pallbearers who have honored the family with their service include Amiel Jay Frasier, Bill Nolen, Bob Nolen, Dee Nolen, Morris Williams, Rickey Bell, Jay M. Frasier and Randall Swift.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association in Maxine’s memory.
Condolences may be offered at www.clementswilcoxfuneralhome.com.

I remember the "old days" when we were young and we were friends. We spent a lot of hours in your home. God Bless to all.
