Tommie R. Perry Aug. 8, 1933 ~ Jan. 15, 2013

Tommie Ruth VanZandt Perry, 79, of Kingsland passed away on Jan. 15. She was born to Otto and Artie Ruth (Grigg) VanZandt on Aug. 8, 1933 in Colorado City, Texas.
Perry was a member of the Buchanan Dam Church of Christ. During her working years she was a registered nurse and she retired from Ward Memorial Hospital. She loved music and art and was an excellent pianist and artist.
She is survived by a daughter Kimberly Perry of Abilene; sons Steve Perry of Giddings, and Bevin Perry of Midland; daughter-in-law Teresa and husband David Stoner of Monahans, Texas; grandchildren Amy Curry of Stephenville, Logan Perry of Giddings, Amanda Sansom and husband Jason of Waco, Jody Perry and wife Rachel of Monahans, Chad Perry of Midland, and Brittany Perry of Arlington; greatgrandchildren Ryan Curry and Rylee Johnson of Stephenville, Brianna Sansom of Waco, and Savannah Perry and Hannah Ruth Perry of Monahans; great great-grandson Preston Curry of Stephenville; brothers Joel and wife Eleanor VanZandt of Levelland, Texas, Verlon and wife Cecily VanZandt of Lexington, and Vincent and wife Terri Van Zandt of Giddings; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
Perry was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years P.M. "Bill” Perry; and son Kevin Lyle Perry.
Visitations were held on Thursday, Jan. 17 from 5-7 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Kingsland. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 18 at the Church of Christ in Buchanan
Dam at 10 a.m. Burial will follow on Saturday at the Monahans Municipal Cemetery in Monahans.
