She was born to Samuel D. and Susie (Ely) Heimer of Weaverly, Kan., on June 9, 1921. She married to Dale F. Lohmeyer Sept. 23, 1940. Lohmeyer was the youngest of nine children. She liked to do embroidery. Lohmeyer was a successful business woman and was an administrator for two nursing homes that she and her husband owned. She also would look after mental patients from the VA that her husband would occaisionally bring home from work. They built a dorm to house these patients. Dale was the entrepreneur and she was the motor behind it. She was a excellent organizer. She is survived by daughter Beverly and husband George Winfield of Kingsland; son Wayne Lohmeyer and wife Sceptra of Houston; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Dale and eight siblings. A memorial service will be held on Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Leander.
