Jimmy will be remembered for his refreshingly honest, genuine and joyful spirit. His eternal innocence was a gift and reminded us all of the importance to live simply, love fully and smile always. He took great delight in western movies and country music. In his younger days, Jimmy was quite the horseman and took great pride in helping his parents with chores around their ranch and home. He joyously watched his sister, nieces and cousins show livestock throughout the years and enthusiastically supported Llano County 4-H, school sports and band events. God blessed us greatly with Jimmy’s unique happiness and his unconditional love for others will never be forgotten.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Bess Gray Sifford and Harry Lee Sifford, paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Jim E. Epperson, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jimmy is survived by his parents Betty and James Epperson, sister Gayle Jordan nieces, Jima (Clint) Montfort of Corsicana and Julie (Kris) Havalka of Corpus Christi, numerous cousins, and five great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at the Valley Spring Cemetery in Valley Spring, Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Vicki Troy officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Sifford, Troy Sifford, Kris Havelka, Clint Montfort, Walter Milliorn and Richard Rabb. Donations in his memory can be made to Cherokee Home for Children and Hill Country Livestock Raisers Association Scholarship Fund.
Jimmy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. David Hoerster, Kaye Hague, Kathy Holland and the staff at Llano Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the compassionate care shown to Jimmy during his last few months.
