Charges continue to mount against a Llano man who allegedly is responsible for many of the burglaries along Lakes Buchanan and LBJ.
Authorities from the Llano County Sheriff’s Office, the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office and the Sunrise Beach Police Department have filed 19 charges against Jeffrey Scott Graves as of Monday. Graves, 39, is being held in the Llano County Jail on bonds totaling more than $1.7 million.
Charges include burglaries of habitations and buildings, failures to appear to the 424th District Court for offenses of theft and credit card abuse, public intoxication and the unauthorized use of a vehicle. Llano County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy John Neff said additional charges may be filed against Graves as authorities continue their investigation into the more than 70 residential burglaries that were reported along lakes Buchanan and LBJ since April.
However, Neff said since Graves was arrested on Oct. 23, only one burglary has been reported and that it appears to fit the method of burglarizing that Graves is alleged to have used.
