A final question and answer session regarding Proposed Emergency Service District #3 to support fire protection for the unincorporated area of the Burnet County served by the Granite Shoals Volunteer Fire Department will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Granite Shoals fire hall on RR 1431.

Granite Shoals Fire Chief Austin Stanphill reported Tuesday night to the Granite Shoals City Council that the meeting would answer any last minute questions from voters, including what their fire service might cost without the proposed taxing district.

The adjacent area served by the Marble Falls VFD and the northeast portion of the county served by Briggs and Oakalla VFDs will consider ESDs #6 and #8 respectively on the Nov. 3 ballot.

The Granite Shoals Council, also at its regular meeting Tuesday night heard reports on the Nov. 7 Granite Shoals Veterans Day Parade to Veterans Park, the Nov. 14 Granite Shoals Police Association Christmas Outreach fundraiser at the GSVFD fire hall, and the Nov. 20 GSVFD Kingsmen Gospel Concert fundraiser at the Marble Falls Lakeside Pavilion.
