Two suspects in the Friday morning bank robbery in Round Mountain were taken into custody Saturday afternoon after escaping police.
Investigators arrested the third suspect Friday morning after the armed men confronted a bank employee and entered Cattleman’s National Bank, about 13 miles south of Marble Falls on US 281. The incident occurred at about 6:45 a.m. Friday.
A criminal investigator involved in the manhunt said no one was injured. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, and K-9 units, began searching for the suspects who fled on foot Friday.
Hours after the incident, doors to Cattleman’s National Bank were locked, as a crime scene investigator dusted for evidence near the bank’s back-entry door. The Real New Orleans Restaurant next door, which shares a building with a Shell gas station, was closed, as officers used the Shell convenience store as their investigation post.
Less than a mile north of the bank, FM 962 West was blocked off by police vehicles.
