The Outdoor Channel will feature area gold prospectors on its show, "Gold Fever", this Saturday at 11 a.m.

Members of the Llano Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America escorted TV host Tom Massie last September as they searched for gold in Junction and at the Llano River crossing on CR 102.

"We played around for a few hours," said Todd Pickens, president of the Llano Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America. "I took him to some of the scenic parts of Llano."

Pickens said the TV crew filmed about 12 hours of footage, but only one hour will be shown during Saturday's hour-long show.
