Three elected to PEC Board

Pedernales Electric Cooperative’s 2009 Board election ended Saturday, June 20, at its annual membership meeting held in Johnson City.

Members elected Cristi Clement of Meadowlakes as director in District 1 and Larry Landaker the director for District 6. They fill the expiring positions of Vi Cloud of Marble Falls and Val Smith, respectively.

Dr. Patrick Cox, currently PEC’s District 7 director, ran unopposed for re-election and will remain on the cooperative’s Board.

Frank Fatone of Election Services Corporation announced 23,125 total votes were cast, including 19,315 by mail, 3,723 online, and 87 in person at the annual meeting. Fatone said 194,012 PEC members were eligible to vote in the election.

The new board members will be seated on June 29 at a special organizational meeting at the cooperative’s headquarters in Johnson City at 2 p.m.
