Baseball suffers district losses to Mustangs

The Bulldog baseball team opened district with a series versus Marble Falls. On Tuesday they traveled to face the Mustangs and fell short after allowing seven runs in the bottom of the second inning. Burnet didn’t post any runs until the top of the sixth and by that time Marble Falls had taken a 9-0 lead.

The Bulldog baseball team opened district with a series versus Marble Falls. On Tuesday they traveled to face the Mustangs and fell short after allowing seven runs in the bottom of the second inning. Burnet didn’t post any runs until the top of the sixth and by that time Marble Falls had taken a 9-0 lead.

In the top of the sixth Trey Morrow reached base on a double to right field. He was soon plated by Charles Edwards who also hit a double to right field, finally putting Burnet on the board. A popup out followed making it 9-1 after six and a half.

The Dawgs recorded three ground out plays to hold Marble Falls scoreless in the bottom of the sixth.
