Last week the Burnet golf teams hosted the annual Colin Clark Invitational. This marked the 20 year for the event honoring Colin Clark, a former Bulldog golfer who was tragically killed in an auto accident in 2005. Burnet entered four for the Lady Dawgs, who played on Wednesday, and seven Bulldogs whose rounds were held on Thursday.

“We finally got a better day to play a round of golf,” said Burnet Lady Dawg golf coach Doug Messer. “The girls held their own against some really good competition. All of these tournaments are helping us realize areas to strengthen. I’m proud of the resilience, determination, and competitive spirit they each showed.”

The Lady Dawgs shot a team 385. They were led by Cambria Neenan who shot a season best 75 for the day. Avery Gowin contributed a 91, followed by Kristine Rodriguez, 113; and Davis Boorman, 106.
