Burnet High soccer program posts successes

The Burnet Lady Dawg soccer team wrapped up district play last Friday with a road win at Austin LBJ. The victory moved Burnet’s overall record to 20-21, and 17-0-1 in district. They earned their thirdstraight district championship and are looking forward to playing Fredericksburg in the Bi-District round of the state playoffs.

The Burnet Lady Dawg soccer team wrapped up district play last Friday with a road win at Austin LBJ. The victory moved Burnet’s overall record to 20-21, and 17-0-1 in district. They earned their thirdstraight district championship and are looking forward to playing Fredericksburg in the Bi-District round of the state playoffs.

The JV Lady Dawgs also produced a fantastic season earning an undefeated district championship as well going 13-0-1. Things are looking bright for Burnet’s girls’ soccer program and coach Kim Burnside could not be more pleased with the way this season has progress for her girls.

The Lady Dawgs will travel to Wimberley on Friday, March 21 to face the Lady Billies of Fredericksburg in round one of the state playoffs. The game is slated for a 5:30 p.m. start at the Wimberley High School stadium and the Lady Dawgs will be in white. The girls would love to have your support as they begin their playoff journey.
