Lough received prestigious award

If you are at all familiar with the Lady Bulldog basketball program it’s no doubt that you know the name Sydney Lough. The senior standout point guard for the Lady Dawgs has been making a name for herself over the past several years with her mix of aggressive and smooth play on the basketball court.

If you are at all familiar with the Lady Bulldog basketball program it’s no doubt that you know the name Sydney Lough. The senior standout point guard for the Lady Dawgs has been making a name for herself over the past several years with her mix of aggressive and smooth play on the basketball court.

She has been a key ingredient for Burnet’s success and is a leader that will be missed on future teams. Lough was honored last month on the 24-4A All District list as a Co-District MVP and this month she earned a new honor.

The 2024-25 UIL Girls All Region Teams were released last week and Miss Lough earned herself a spot. Lough was honored with an All Region Team selection for 4A-Region III. Only 20 total girls are chosen per region for this top honor. Burnet’s district was well represented with three other spots including two from Salado for Ally Ihler and Karlee Konarik, and one Jarrell player, Aniya Taylor.

A big congratulations for Sydney Lough who used her time representing Burnet on the basketball court extremely well. She will be remembered for her contributions to the program.
