Silver finishes for Bulldog track teams

The Burnet boys track teams hosted their annual meet on Thursday of last week and both squads captured silver as a team. The varsity division was won by Salado, 161, followed by Burnet, second, 144; West, third, 108; Marble Falls, fourth, 71; Gateway, fifth, 66; and China Spring, sixth, 56.
Varsity Bulldog, Braxton Ringstaff, sprints past some competitors in the boys’ 100 meter dash. Ringstaff took fourth place overall earning four points for his team.

The Burnet boys track teams hosted their annual meet on Thursday of last week and both squads captured silver as a team. The varsity division was won by Salado, 161, followed by Burnet, second, 144; West, third, 108; Marble Falls, fourth, 71; Gateway, fifth, 66; and China Spring, sixth, 56.

The JV class was also won by Salado, 158, followed by Burnet in second, 155; China Spring, third, 130.33; Marble Falls, fourth, 106.67; and Gateway, fifth, 48.

“Yesterday was a great day,” said Burnet track coach Jordan Heusinkveld. “We had lots of personal records set and the boys competed very well.”
