Many people fortunate to meet her called her Vonnie, pronounced “Voh-nee” just in case some of y’all don’t know.
“Mrs. Vonnie was a wonderful lady,” Pct. 2 Commissioner Damon Beierle recalled last week. “She always made you feel like she’d been waiting to see you. She was al-ways so welcoming. Her kindness and smile combined with her loving handshake made everyone feel loved. She was genuine and did so much for Burnet throughout her life.”
According to the obituary that ran March 12 in the Burnet Bulletin, Vonnie married Billy Joe Fox Dec. 8, 1953.
