The Bertram Library hosted the Lone Star Disc Dogs on Thursday at Johnnie Mae Wheeler Park. These amazing high-flying dogs put on quite a performance with their frisbees, much to the delight of the children in attendance.
The Friends of the Bertram Library hosted Music Bingo at Fratelli’s Pizza last Tuesday. DJ Betty Predmore offered a playlist with something for everyone from the 50s to current music. Bingo winners received Fratelli’s gift cards as their prize. Friends of the Bertram Library President Theodosia Schmidt shared a bit about the Friends group and how it supports the library. It was a great turnout, and the Friends of the Bertram Library have many more events planned for the rest of the year.
A reminder to those who are interested – the Bertram Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 1-3 p.m. The pantry is located behind the Catholic Church at 520 Texas 29 in Bertram. The food pantry serves anyone in the 78605 or 78608 zip codes.
