Sonrise Ministry hosts special needs prom

Seventy guests attended “A Night to Remember” April 4 giving those with special needs an opportunity to feel like super stars. The special needs prom was organized by the Sonrise Special Needs Ministry of Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet.

Seventy guests attended “A Night to Remember” April 4 giving those with special needs an opportunity to feel like super stars.

The special needs prom was organized by the Sonrise Special Needs Ministry of Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet.

The event was conducted with the help of about 250 volunteers.

“It was a great event ... loving on some special people,” said Michael Barnard, the executive pastor of Hill Country Fellowship.

The evening included a limousine ride, dinner and dancing as well as karaoke, Oscars presentations and roses for party favors.
