The 2025 Burnet Bluebonnet Festival wrapped up another successful year April 11–13, bringing tens of thousands of visitors to downtown Burnet for one of the biggest spring events in Central Tex- as. With clear skies, mild temperatures, and bluebonnets blooming across the Hill Country, this year’s beautiful spring weather set the perfect backdrop for a weekend of live music, family fun, and small-town charm.
The festivities kicked off Thursday evening with the Mighty Thomas Carnival, filling the air with the sounds of laughter and the scent of funnel cakes. Friday and Saturday brought even more excitement, as more than 250 arts, crafts, and food vendors lined the historic downtown, offering everything from handmade goods to festival favorites like turkey legs and lemonade. Visitors also enjoyed relaxing with a cold drink in the indoor Biergarten, at convenient to-go locations, or in the lively outdoor Cocktail Garden.
Saturday’s schedule was packed from sunrise to sundown, starting with the popular 5K and 10K runs and continuing with a colorful parade through downtown Burnet. Families gathered along the route as floats, marching bands, classic cars, and community groups made their way through town. Children took part in old-fashioned games and a bicycle decorating contest. Country music fans turned out in full force for the Saturday night concert, featuring country legends Lonestar.
