Drought restrictions stuck at Stage 4

The Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District (CTGCD) board decided to maintain Stage 4 critical drought restrictions. “Obviously, because of the lack of rain fall,” CTGCD District Manager Mitchell Sodek told the board during the April 21 meeting.

Plus, the Palmer Hydrological Drought Index continues to indicate Burnet County continues to struggle with “extreme” groundwater low levels, Sodek said.
