Recently, one critical bill proposed to impose new regulations in Burnet County related to permits for facilities that produce or crush aggregate failed to pass parliamentary muster.
During the ongoing-Texas Legislature 89th regular session, state representatives Terry Wilson (HD- 20), John Bryant (HD-114), Ellen Troxclair (HD-19) filed House Bill 5151 to regulate rock pits and quarries – specificially around two state parks and a children’s camp on Lake LBJ.
Many Burnet County residents appeared in Austin to voice support for the bill.
